After breakfast, departure to FLORENCE for a full-day guided visit with its most important monuments: Piazza del Duomo, Giotto’s Tower-bell, S. Maria del Fiore Cathedral, Piazza della Signoria with its Palazzo Vecchio, S. Croce Church and the Florentine-Gothic masterwork: the Ponte Vecchio. Rest of the afternoon at leisure for optional visits and/or shopping. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

 

After breakfast, departure for an excursion to PISA and LUCCA. In Pisa guided visit of Piazza del Duomo , well known as “Piazza dei Miracoli”, where you can admire the Santa Maria Maggiore Cathedral, the Baptistery and the Cemetery, symbolically the three fundamental moments in men’s life: Birth (Baptistery), Life (Cathedral) and Death (Cemetery). Afterwards, continuation to Lucca for a guided walking tour through Piazza S. Michele in Foro characteristic centre of the town life, and its Romanic Church, one of the most typical examples of the Pisan-Luccan architecture. The S. Martino Dom, the National Pinacoteca, the characteristic medieval streets Via degli Antiquari and Via Fillungo, Piazza del Mercato and walk on the beautiful walls of the town dating back to the XVI century. Then continuation to the area of PIOMBINO, accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight

 

After breakfast, departure to the port of Piombino and embarkation on the ferry to Portoferraio for a full-day excursion on the ELBA island. Upon arrival guided tour of the island with the Napoleon’s San Martino Villa, once summer residence of the exile king. Continuation to the eastern side of the island, where old mines lie, with a stop on a plain to enjoy a marvellous view on Portoferraio and then along an inlet till the picturesque fishermen village of Porto Azzurro. In the afternoon visit of the western side of the island with many little fishermen villages such as: Procchio, Marciana Marina, Marciana and the most appreciated seaside resort of the island: Marina del Campo, well known for its white sand. Return to Portoferraio and embarkation to Piombino. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

After breakfast, departure for a day excursion to ASSISI and PERUGIA. Upon arrival in Assisi guided visit of Saint Francis’ birthplace and Santa Chiara, one of the most visited among Italian towns. In the afternoon continuation to PERUGIA, main-town of Umbria region. Then continuation to CHIANCIANO TERME, accommodation in Hotel, dinner and overnight

After breakfast, departure for a day excursion SIENA/S. GIMIGNANO. Upon arrival in Siena guided visit of this town, famous for its" Palio", that takes place every year on the main square, Piazza del Campo: city tour with the most important monuments such as S. Domenico, Gothic basilica in which you can admire the Chapel and the relic of S. Caterina da Siena, Piazza Salimbeni where the historical seat of the Monte dei Paschi di Siena Bank lies and other Gothic-Renaissance buildings. Then continuation of the journey to San Gimignano with its famous ancient walls around the town and a number of Watch Towers of the 11th century. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

 

After breakfast, departure for a half-day guided visit of AREZZO, town of ancient origins with Piazza S. Francesco, located at the margin of the historical centre, the Romanic Church of Pieve di Santa Maria with its magnificent Tower-bell, Piazza Grande, the so called Piazza Vasari, one of the most characteristic squares in Italy. Then continuation of the tour to the surroundings of the GARDA LAKE, accommodation in hotel, dinner and overnight.
